Bangxin Zhang is one of our founders and has served as our chairman or director and chief executive officer since our inception. Mr. Zhang provides vision, overall management, and strategic decision-making relating to marketing, investment planning, and corporate development. Mr. Zhang received his bachelor's degree in Life Sciences from Sichuan University in 2001, was in the postgraduate program of the Life Science School of Peking University from 2002 to 2007, and received an EMBA degree from China Europe International Business School in 2009.

Bangxin Zhang, male, Han nationality, born on October 1, 1980, from Yangzhong, Jiangsu, is the founder, chairman, and CEO of Tomorrow Advancing Life (formerly known as TAL Education Group). He graduated from Sichuan University with a bachelor's degree and completed a combined master's and doctoral program in biological science at Peking University in 2002. He also holds an EMBA from China Europe International Business School. In 2003, while studying for a master's degree at Peking University, Zhang co-founded Xueersi (the predecessor of TAL Education), and in October 2010, Xueersi was listed on the New York Stock Exchange. In 2013, it was renamed Tomorrow Advancing Life Group.


Work Experience

Zhang Bangxin, an entrepreneur born in the 1980s, co-founded Xueersi with his classmates while studying for a master's degree at Peking University, engaging in extracurricular tutoring for primary and secondary school students. On October 21, 2010, Xueersi was officially listed on the New York Stock Exchange, becoming the first domestic primary and secondary education and training institution to be listed in the United States. In 2013, Xueersi was renamed Tomorrow Advancing Life Group.

Today, Tomorrow Advancing Life (NYSE: TAL), with the mission of "love and technology empower lifelong development," is committed to becoming an organization of continuous innovation. 1. Innovative Small Class Teaching Model

Xueersi was the first to innovate the small class teaching mode.

First, small class teaching. Twenty students in a class to ensure learning efficiency and effectiveness.

Second, open classroom. The wall between training institutions and parents was removed, and parents were invited into the classroom to sit in the back and listen. Prior to this, no institution had done this, and today, many institutions still do not.

Third, anytime refund. If the first class is unsatisfactory, a full refund is available; a proportional refund is available before two-thirds of the classes are completed.

Through the innovative small class teaching model, Zhang Bangxin pushed for transparency in the industry, compelling himself to focus on teaching quality.

4. Tomorrow Advancing Life's Three Laws: Cause and Effect, Long-term, Balance

Zhang Bangxin summarized the underlying code of Tomorrow Advancing Life's values as cause and effect, long-term, balance.

The first law: Cause and effect.

Living beings fear the fruit, bodhisattvas fear the cause. When a result is presented, there must be a reason for it. We hope for a certain result, instead of rushing to pursue this result, we should find and practice the factors that can achieve this result upstream and in the front end. The result will naturally appear.


The second law: Long-term.

All success requires time and patience. When you invest in cause, time is needed for the harvest. All our values are based on long-term solutions that can win, not short-term wins.


The third law: Balance.

When you improve yourself internally, based on the long term, the external will emerge; when you achieve customers, based on the long term, customers will achieve you; when you invest in research and development based on the long term, your products will be highly competitive, and all of these, based on cause and effect in the long term, are balanced.


5. Technology is the Key Force Driving Inclusive Education

In May 2023, Zhang Bangxin published a signed article titled "Technology is the Key Force Driving Inclusive Education" in the fifth issue of China Network Information, proposing to insist on using educational technology to help modernize education and take on the task of cultivating modern talents. He advocated for the use of technology, products, and content innovation to assist in the all-round digital transformation of all participants in education, and to contribute to the construction of a learning society for all, providing more valuable services and products with a focus on training talents to meet national strategic needs.

He promoted Tomorrow Advancing Life to release education open platforms, making research and development achievements open to the public, and exporting technology products and solutions covering online and offline teaching to the education industry through technological means, achieving large-scale, low-cost, and high-quality teaching services, realizing the promotion of educational equity, and striving to create more valuable services and products for the progress of society, especially toward the training of talents needed for national strategic development.
