In August 2023, affected by Typhoon "Doksuri," Northern China, the Huang-Huai region, and other areas experienced extreme rainfall, resulting in floods and geological disasters, which deeply concerned hundreds of millions of people across the nation. As the floodwaters receded, post-disaster reconstruction work has been continuously advancing.

On the afternoon of September 26, a donation ceremony titled "Xueersi Joins Hands with the China Guanghua Science and Technology Foundation to Support Post-Disaster Reconstruction" was held in Beijing. The Science and Creativity Department of Xueersi Online School and the Xiaohou Enlightenment Business Division, both subsidiaries of TAL Education Group, collaborated with the China Guanghua Science and Technology Foundation to donate over ten thousand sets of science kits and educational tools. By "Donating Knowledge and Making a Contribution," they aim to assist in the reconstruction of disaster-stricken areas and fulfill their corporate social responsibility.

In his speech, Mei Feng emphasized that the China Guanghua Science and Technology Foundation firmly implements the important instructions from President Xi Jinping on flood prevention and disaster relief, in accordance with the relevant arrangements made by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League. They initiated a special care action named "Anti-Flood Disaster Relief and Youth Escort," widely raising funds and materials for post-disaster reconstruction to provide learning and living support to youths in disaster-affected areas. As a foundation managed by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, Guanghua aims to cultivate scientific literacy and talent among youth. This aligns well with the target groups served by TAL.

In Laura's speech, she introduced TAL Education Group's business transformation and strategic development direction and stated, "Public welfare is a goodwill that inspires more goodwill. We hope to leverage our accumulated educational and technological resources to help more children access quality scientific resources, stimulating their curiosity, imagination, and exploration desire for learning science." In this donation action, the "Science in National Treasures" donated by the Science and Creativity Business Division of Xueersi Online School guides children to interpret cultural relics from a scientific perspective and appreciate the wisdom of their predecessors behind these relics. Various educational toys donated by Xiaohou Enlightenment assist in enhancing children’s cognitive abilities and expanding their thinking.

The donated materials from Xueersi Online School and Xiaohou Enlightenment were shipped from the warehouse on September 16. The knowledge gifts prepared by Xueersi for the children were sent out from the Tianjin warehouse on September 16, successfully arriving at the material warehouse of the China Guanghua Technology Foundation. These materials will subsequently be coordinated by the Guanghua project team and delivered to the cities and counties in need, reaching the children. After the donation ceremony, the two parties also had in-depth exchanges on potential future cooperation. The China Guanghua Technology Foundation and Xueersi will fully leverage their respective advantages to provide excellent science education, enhancing adolescents' scientific literacy, and contributing to their growth and success.
