Launched by the TAL Charity Foundation, the Chunya Online Education Welfare Platform collaborates with local education authorities nationwide to promote an "Internet + Education" philanthropy model. This initiative expands access to high-quality educational resources for a broader range of regions and audiences, delivering diverse educational content to rural areas, facilitating the downward flow of premium resources, and establishing a long-term mechanism for online remote teaching and research. Thereby, it drives sustained progress toward educational equity.
By the end of 2021, Chunya Online Education Welfare Platform had reached over 1,000 schools across 55 counties in 19 provinces—including Hebei, Yunnan, Gansu, Guizhou, Sichuan, and Xinjiang—benefiting approximately 220,000 people.
Continuing Education Without School Closures
Fulfilling Social Responsibility During the Pandemic
In 2020, amid the special challenges of the pandemic, TAL Education Group swiftly fulfilled its social responsibility. Immediately after the outbreak, it established a 100 million RMB special fund to combat COVID-19, including 20 million RMB donated to the Wuhan Charity Federation for purchasing medical supplies, 80 million RMB allocated to education initiatives to ensure children in Hubei and pandemic-affected regions nationwide could "continue learning without school closures". TAL provided free live teaching systems to primary and secondary schools across China. Its educational open platform launched the "Safe Harbor Program", offering the Live Streaming Cloud teaching system free of charge to all education and training institutions in China. Xueersi Online School rolled out free live courses covering all subjects and grades, supporting students nationwide in "learning without interruption." This effort ensured that even children in remote areas—from Xinjiang to Hainan Island, Henan to Yunnan and Guizhou—could access Xueersi's live classes. The role of educational technology became all the more critical in challenging times. Through the power of love and technology, TAL accompanied millions of children through a uniquely challenging spring, proving that education can endure and thrive, even amid adversity.

Building an Employee Philanthropy Platform: Mapping Every Corner with Love and Technology
To encourage employees to actively engage in public welfare, TAL Education Group launched "Philanthropy Day" in April 2013 for all teaching and administrative staff, granting each employee one paid annual volunteer leave day for various forms of volunteer service.
Driven by their commitment to philanthropy, TAL employees voluntarily established the "YiBangRen" volunteer club on May 4, 2015, reflecting their collective dedication to social responsibility.
In May 2018, TAL introduced the "Philanthropy Map"—an employee platform designed to unite staff nationwide, enabling them to pool their philanthropic efforts and participate in more conveniently, guided by the vision of "measuring every inch of the land with love and technology." Within its first year of operation, the platform recorded 4,759 participant visits to activities, 15,884 hours of volunteer service provided to 102,159 children and 4,932 teachers.

In October 2013, TAL Education Group launched the first charitable foundation in China's education and training industry—the TAL Charitable Foundation.
Guided by the mission of "enabling more people to equally access educational resources", the foundation leverages TAL's excellence in basic education—including its teaching/research resources and innovative capabilities in online education—to advance educational philanthropy through resource sharing and diversified educational support. Beijing Xingbang Charity Foundation
Initiated and established by the founding team of TAL Education Group, the Beijing Xingbang Charity Foundation aims to help students in poverty-stricken areas access high-quality educational resources through supporting online and offline teaching services. By doing so, it fosters students' healthy development and promotes the balanced growth of education.

Beyond Horizon Education Charity Foundation
In November 2017, Minhong Yu, the founder of New Oriental Education & Technology Group, and Bangxin Zhang, the founder of TAL Education Group, announced the joint establishment of the Beyond Horizon Education Charity Foundation. Initially, TAL Education Group and New Oriental Education & Technology Group each contributed 50 million yuan, forming a 100 million yuan startup fund.
