At TAL Education Group, there is a group of ordinary and ordinary people who will stand up at critical moments. They are distributed across the country, and may be front-line teachers, technical personnel, and functional personnel. However, they share a common identity - Communist Party members.
Party members are pioneers and should step up at critical moments
"The sudden outbreak of the new coronavirus disrupted people's lives and work." Jiang Liangguo, a teacher at the Xueersi Peyou Qingdao branch under the TAL Education Group, said when talking about the new coronavirus outbreak in 2020.
After the outbreak, in order not to affect the teaching work after the New Year, Jiang Liangguo hurried back to Qingdao on the second day of the lunar New Year. At the time, an urgent problem facing him and his colleagues was how to quickly transfer offline courses to online.
It was not easy for them to accept online courses because they had not done so before. According to Jiang Liangguo's recollection, during that period, he had to attend centralized training at the branch every day, constantly test equipment, simulate online teaching scenarios, anticipate various situations that might occur, and make plans for each one. In addition, he had to answer various questions from parents and students, and comfort their emotions every day.
"During the transformation process, we encountered many challenges. But as a party member, we should stand up at critical moments, step up, and strive to provide the best service to students and parents," Jiang Liangguo said. This is a commitment and a responsibility. In the severe period of the epidemic, he also signed up for community volunteer service, shuttling between buildings and households, and confirming the information of employees returning to work one by one.

Starting from January 23, 2020, TAL Education Group actively adjusted its strategy, replacing original offline courses with online courses to ensure that students' learning "does not drop out." At the same time, for the health and safety of students, the group decided to change the method of distributing lecture notes from offline to delivering them to students through express delivery.
"To be honest, it's easier said than done. As an educational administrator, we need to quickly deliver lecture notes to nearly 80,000 face-to-face students," said Wang Jia, who is responsible for teaching management at the Beijing branch of Xueersi Peyou. Due to the temporary transition of the face-to-face courses from offline to online, many pieces of information were not previously entered into the system, which made information collection very difficult. Therefore, educational administrators not only made information collection forms overnight but also searched for thousands of pieces of information about offline face-to-face courses by student ID and verified the information one by one.
Checking student information was not easy, and sending express delivery was also very difficult. Due to the lack of a monthly settlement express account, thousands of sets of lecture notes had to be sent all at once, which was a large amount. In addition, with the Spring Festival holiday approaching, many express delivery companies were on holiday. This brought difficulties to Wang Jia and her colleagues in sending the lecture notes.
Not only during the epidemic, but also in the process of poverty alleviation, party members of TAL Education Group also play an active role.
