The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology organized this review to select outstanding big data products and solutions that have achieved good results in epidemic prevention and control, material allocation, people's livelihood security, resumption of work, production, and school reopening, and to promote them nationwide.
During the epidemic, in response to the inability of schools across the country to open as usual in the spring semester, TAL Education Group fully cooperated with the education authorities to implement the "Keep Learning While School is Out" program, mainly launching two major initiatives.
First, it provided free live cloud services for primary and secondary schools nationwide, building a course live broadcasting system and providing technical support, offering teaching functions such as "creating virtual schools, conducting live teaching, online interaction between teachers and students, online monitoring, and data statistics."
Second, based on the home-school management function of TAL Education Group's Xueersi Online Classroom solution, it provided free online live courses, synchronous classrooms, homework assignments, epidemic statistics surveys, daily health check-ins, and other online education and epidemic information management services for primary and secondary schools across the country, helping schools ensure the teaching effect and quality after reopening, templateization of epidemic-related statistical data, full traceability, and lightening the burden of school management.
According to TAL Education Group, in order to help schools make good use of the live cloud and smart education platform, it not only provides technology but also offers educational informatization training system: from the pilot application of informationization in a single grade, to the application in the entire school; and then from the application in a single school to the informationization application in multiple schools within the region, with a dedicated person in charge for point-to-point guidance and answering questions, ensuring timely response and guidance.
Currently, TAL Education Group has completed the deployment of online live teaching systems and teaching training services for free in 595 schools nationwide, serving over 30,000 teachers and reaching 460,000 students.
At the same time, to mitigate the impact of the epidemic on the education and training industry, TAL Education Group has provided free access to the live cloud online teaching system to over 40,000 educational and training institutions nationwide, providing free online teaching for a total of 20 million students, with 2 million course hours.
