In 2018, Xueersi Online School, a subsidiary of TAL Education Group, customized and developed the "AI Teacher Mandarin Teaching System" for Zhaogezu County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. It specially designed a preschool children's Yi-Han bilingual learning module, deeply integrating technologies such as speech recognition and speech assessment to achieve intelligent evaluation and real-time correction of children's pronunciation, helping them learn Mandarin well.
As of November 2019, nearly 80,000 students and over 2,000 primary and secondary school teachers have benefited from it, laying a foundation for children in these ethnic minority areas to enjoy fair education and escape poverty in the future. It is understood that this project has been exhibited at multiple events such as the "China-CEEC Education Cooperation and Exchange Exhibition" and the "First International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Education".
