On the afternoon of June 19th, Xueersi Shanghai Branch held the moral education interview program "General Grandpa Storytelling" release ceremony. Seven retired generals who have experienced the trials and tribulations of the Republic attended the ceremony, and they will passionately tell their stories of struggle in the program, hoping to cultivate good virtues such as patriotism, diligence, frugality, filial piety, and optimism in children.

"General Grandpa Storytelling" series consists of 16 episodes, each focusing on a theme, including diligence in learning, leading by example, and filial piety and loyalty. The program is scheduled to officially launch during the summer vacation, and children can watch it for free through the Xueersi APP, Xueersi's new media matrix, and various teaching points of Xueersi branches.

Seven generals attended the release ceremony

Mr. Yang Lei, Director and Secretary-General of the Shanghai Jiangxing Public Welfare Activities Center, Mr. Liu Wei, Executive Deputy Secretary-General of the Shanghai Jiangxing Public Welfare Activities Center, Mr. Bai Chao, Principal of Xueersi Shanghai Branch, and Mr. Li Guoding, Secretary of the Party Branch of Xueersi Shanghai Branch, witnessed the release of the program together.

At the event, Mr. Bai Chao, the principal of Xueersi Shanghai Branch, detailed the situation of the "General Grandpa Storytelling" program and played the program trailer for the guests present at the event.

In his address, Bai Chao proposed that the goal of Xueersi's education is to enable children to achieve progress in their studies while achieving physical and mental health and ability improvement. The goal is to cultivate lifelong skills for children.

These skills include not only learning abilities, but also love for the Party and the country, great ideals—adolescents should enhance cultural confidence, strengthen a sense of mission, and establish lofty ideals; staunch will, good character—Xueersi should not only stimulate children's interest in learning, but also cultivate their learning habits, and help children develop excellent character.

Now, the moral education interview program "General Grandpa Storytelling" has been officially released, which is an actual measure of Xueersi's commitment to moral education through a rich and colorful format.

Mr. Yang Lei, Director and Secretary-General of the Shanghai Jiangxing Public Welfare Activities Center, expressed that the "General Grandpa Storytelling" series not only inherits the excellent traditional virtues of China, but also demonstrates cultural confidence. He encouraged young people to establish a sense of patriotism and broaden their horizons, with an inclusive learning consciousness and an open-minded attitude.

On that day, the seven generals offered their blessings for the official release of the "General Grandpa Storytelling" program and expressed their high recognition of Xueersi's education advocacy of cultivating students' "lifelong skills."

On May 8th of this year, Xueersi officially launched the Xueersi moral education series. According to the plan, the Xueersi moral education courses are divided into two directions. For the large group of Xueersi teachers, courses are set around themes such as education in love for the Party and the country, national new-era education, teacher ethics and style construction, and adolescent mental health, and four key activities are planned for the whole year.

In addition, Xueersi will also launch "Fireworks Egg and Me and My Motherland" and "General Grandpa Storytelling" for the student group, allowing more children to receive patriotic education through a diverse and colorful educational format.
