After acquiring Li Bu English and increasing its stake in Shun Shun Study Abroad, TAL Education Group (NYSE: XRS) continues to strengthen its position in the international education sector. On September 5th, TAL Education Group announced the launch of a new brand for study abroad training called "HiWorld" (Chinese name: 乐未来), with a new official website (www.hiworld.com), and a brand slogan in English (Hi World).
TAL Education Group also announced the completion of its full acquisition of the study abroad training institution, ACESSAT (Beijing Acessat Education Consulting Co., Ltd.). ACESSAT will become part of the study abroad training brand HiWorld, providing services for SSAT, ACT, SAT, TOEFL, and other study abroad exams.
Founded in 2012, ACESSAT is a domestic education and training institution that focuses on early-age study abroad. Its business covers SSAT, ACT, SAT, TOEFL, and Western cultural courses. Different from the popular teacher mode in the study abroad training industry, ACESSAT insisted on using technological means for teaching and research from the beginning, based on the laws of measurement and pedagogy, to break down and refine the precise ability model of exams and help a large number of students achieve excellent results. After four years of accumulation, the top 20 high schools in the U.S. now have ACESSAT students.
TAL Education Group co-founder Bai Yunfeng said that with the rise of consumer upgrades and a new generation of parents, Chinese families have higher expectations for their children's education. TAL Education Group hopes to leverage its years of experience in the K12 field, gather high-quality world education resources, and connect human intelligence and technology to provide rich, diverse, and systematic domestic and international education services for Chinese children.
Wu Xiaowei, head of HiWorld study abroad training, said that HiWorld will inherit TAL Education Group's technological research and development genes as well as high-quality education requirements, combined with its own advantages, starting from an early age and gradually cultivating students through systematic and scientific curriculum settings, enhancing language skills, focusing on Western thinking, and cultivating cultural literacy, helping students confidently embrace the world.
ACESSAT founders Huang Wei and Wang Jiae revealed, "Throughout the entire acquisition process, TAL Education Group has never demanded performance-based requirements. It values the team and especially recognizes people's abilities. Overall, it is a relatively generous team."
Over the past two years, TAL Education Group has been expanding its language training and international education footprint. In addition to the 10-year focus on domestic and international English assessments with Le Jia Le English, TAL Education Group launched the online English brand Le Waijiao last May, and four months later, it fully acquired the children's quality English institution Li Bu English. Recently, it also brought the study abroad service platform Shun Shun Study Abroad under its umbrella.
After the launch of HiWorld, Li Bu English, HiWorld study abroad training, and Shun Shun Study Abroad will form a seamlessly connected collaborative unit for TAL Education Group's international educational business. Wu Ying, head of Li Bu English, believes that HiWorld will provide further international education channels for Li Bu English students, and the high-end international children's English population of Li Bu English will also become an important source of students for HiWorld's early-age study abroad. According to Zhang Yang, head of Shun Shun Study Abroad, Shun Shun Study Abroad and its product lines, including high-end, art study abroad, background enhancement, and global immigration, can provide more convenient study abroad, immigration, and other high-quality international education and life services for students and families in HiWorld, and HiWorld will become an important source of students for them.
Analysts believe that the release of HiWorld also indicates that TAL Education Group has gradually built a complete educational product layout from 0 to 24 years old, combining online and offline methods, and covering domestic and international markets.
