On July 13th, the "Beijing Schools Collaboration: Intelligence Empowering Future" School-City Integration Forum was held at Beijing Normal University. During the forum, three representative achievements in the field of artificial intelligence empowering foundational education, developed under the specific guidance of the Beijing Municipal Education Commission and support from the Beijing Municipal Science & Technology Commission, were announced by Beijing Normal University: "Inheritance of All Things" foundational education large-scale model, "Polaris" foundational education large-scale model evaluation platform, and the blue paper & case collection titled "Applications of Artificial Intelligence Empowering Foundational Education".

The "Inheritance of All Things" foundational education large-scale model was jointly developed under the guidance of the Beijing Municipal Education Commission and with support from the Beijing Municipal Science & Technology Commission by the Ministry of Education Engineering Research Center for Intelligent Technology and Educational Applications of Beijing Normal University and Beijing Shiji TAL Education Technology Co., Ltd. (referred to as TAL Education Group).

At the forum site of "Beijing Schools Collaboration: Intelligence Empowering Future" School-City Integration Forum, Tian Mi, Chief Technology Officer of TAL Education Group (second from the right), took the stage to witness the achievement announcement.

"Inheritance of All Things" is the first foundational education large-scale model closely aligned with the new curriculum standards, achieving deep understanding of the standards and demonstrating various educational capabilities such as knowledge comprehension-based intelligent problem-solving, heuristic intelligent questioning guidance, situational intelligent question setting, and competency-oriented lesson plan generation. It effectively responds to actual needs in educational scenarios, enhancing the practicality and professionalism of the model in real teaching environments.

Currently, the model has been packaged into an integrated application system (click "Read More" or manually copy the URL: https://smartedu-bnu.tal.com/) and introduced to the AI Application Marketplace of the Beijing Municipal Education Commission. It has been trialed in over 60 schools across Haidian and Dongcheng Districts.
