Recently, Xueersi CTO Tian Mi delivered a speech titled "Promoting Inclusive Education through AI Technology" at the G20 Education Summit. In his address, Tian Mi showcased how Xueersi is leveraging AI technology to advance inclusive education, which presents China's AI+Education solution to global education equity and inclusiveness.

The 2024 G20 Summit, focused on the theme "Building a Fair World and a Sustainable Planet," was held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in November. The summit addressed critical issues such as global inequality, combating hunger and poverty, sustainable development, and global governance reform. The G20 Inclusive Education Summit aimed to gather practitioners worldwide to share experiences, enhance global cooperation, and drive innovation in the education sector for a more just and sustainable future.

Inclusive education, which promotes the inclusion of all students, opposes discrimination and exclusion, and emphasizes collective collaboration, has been widely discussed internationally. In his speech, Tian Mi shared his understanding of inclusive education and detailed how Xueersi utilizes AI technology to realize this goal.

Tian Mi believes that the path to achieving inclusive education lies in combining "large-scale and personalization," and AI is the key to achieving this goal. He stated, "The ultimate goal of educational AI technology is not to replace human teachers but to equip each teacher with an AI assistant and each student with an AI partner."

Through AI, the large models developed by Xueersi can provide personalized support for both teachers and students, reduce the burden of lesson preparation for teachers, and allow teachers to focus more comprehensively on each student through smart monitoring and feedback features.For students, AI offers a personalized tutor. The AI technology developed by Xueersi, utilizing an MOE (Mixture of Experts) architecture, integrates general world knowledge with educational knowledge. Through an interactive chatbot, the model can better understand students' intentions, form a learning data flywheel, enrich learning data in use, make AI learning more precise, and continuously improve learning efficiency.

The policymakers and educators from various countries present at the event responded enthusiastically to Tian Mi's AI+Education speech.  They engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as the relationship between AI teachers and human teachers, the safe use of AI by students, and the integration of educational AI with intelligent hardware.

Other main speakers at the event included Deputado Maurici, a senator from São Paulo, Brazil, and Farley Augustine, the Prime Minister of Tobago.
