Good news! TAL Education Group has won the first prize in the China Internet Innovation Competition.

On July 11, the award ceremony of the first "Golden Lingguang Cup" China Internet Innovation Competition was held at the 23rd China Internet Conference. TAL Education Group, in collaboration with Jinan University, won the first prize in the Digital Education category for their project titled "Key Technologies and Applications of Large Language Model-Assisted Intelligent Evaluation and Multi-Level Precision Tutoring."

The 23rd China Internet Conference, with the theme "30 Years of Internet Interconnection, Wisdom for New Transformations", explored the new developments, trends, and challenges in the internet industry, focusing on hot topics such as artificial intelligence, industrial internet, data elements, computing power, digital government, smart education, and data security.

The "Jinlingguang Cup" Chinese Internet Innovation Competition (hereinafter referred to as the competition) was one of the focus activities of this conference, aiming to explore and honor innovative projects and teams in the fields of artificial intelligence, digital education, and stimulate innovation vitality, and jointly promote the high-quality development of the digital economy.

The competition was initiated by the  Internet Society of China and attracted 506 units from across the country to participate, covering nine major categories including artificial intelligence, digital education, and IT application innovation, with a total of 825 participating projects.

After six months of evaluation, relying on leading educational concepts and advanced technological capabilities, the "Intelligent Evaluation and Multi-level Precision Teaching Key Technology Assisted by Large Language Model and Its Application" (hereinafter referred to as intelligent teaching technology application),  jointly developed by TAL Education Group and Jinan University based on the National Open Innovation Platform for Smart Education and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Joint Key Laboratory of Smart Education,   has been awarded the first prize in the digital education competition. Intelligent teaching technology application integrates advanced technology capabilities such as large language models, artificial intelligence, big data, and intelligent knowledge graphs,  deeply exploring and utilizing the potential of large language models and related AI technologies in smart education.

In the education sector, there has always faced the "impossible triangle," which means that it is impossible to simultaneously achieve personalization, high quality, and large scale. The rise of large language models has offers a solution to this problem.

It can deeply understand and generate language, providing a more natural interactive experience.  Based on this, intelligent teaching technology leverages large models to construct a more detailed and rich educational knowledge graph, realizing multi-level, fine-grained knowledge structuring and multi-layered deep cognitive diagnostics. Ultimately, it provides students with more precise and personalized learning content. Currently, TAL Education Group has launched a smart math Q&A tool called "Math GPT Anytime Ask" based on intelligent teaching technology, which helps students solve math problems through guided inspiration, aiming to cultivate students' problem-solving thinking and improve their math learning abilities.

When students use ""Math GPT Anytime Ask" to solve math problems, it does not provide the answer directly. Instead, it first analyzes the knowledge points and forms examined in the problem, and then guides students to think step by step about how to solve the problem, helping them gain inspiration through exploration. This approach not only helps students deepen their understanding, but also cultivates their ability to independently solve problems.Through our years of accumulation in education and AI, we hope to improve the quality and efficiency of education and teaching, further promote the realization of truly fair education and personalized education - where learning is accessible to all without discrimination and tailored to individual needs, and ultimately promote industry development and ecological improvement, and contribute to building a high-quality education system.
