Supporting primary and secondary school science education, Xueersi has launched the "Xueersi Natural History Department" range of products.

Recently, Xueersi Online School held the launch event of the "Xueersi Natural History Department" series of products, attended by several domestic science popularization experts and museum directors. It is reported that since its launch, the product has served more than 150,000 primary and secondary school users and has become a benchmark product for Xueersi Online School's transformation to quality education. The "Xueersi Natural History Department" series of products is based on the concept of "Exploring Everything, Integrating Knowledge and Action." with the innovation point of "packing everything into a box and giving it to children" and collects children's favorite "gifts of nature" in a "home museum".

At the launch event, Laura, Executive President of TAL Education Group, introduced: "Last year, on the occasion of the 19th anniversary of TAL Education Group, we launched a new 'Three Science' strategy (Science Education, Scientific Innovation, Science Popularization). We hope to leverage our education and technology accumulation to contribute more social value in Science Education, Scientific Innovation, and Science Popularization, supporting the country's science education strategy."
Seeing the world to have a world view, "Xueersi Natural History Department" allows children to explore everything.

More than 2,500 years ago, Confucius said, "Know the names of plants and animals", and 100 years later, the Western sage Aristotle said, "In all things of nature there is something of the marvelous." From ancient times to the present, natural history education has always been advocated.

So, what exactly is natural history? Zhang Jinshuo, Director of the National Zoological Museum, summarizes it as: "Let children know what everything is, this is natural history."

Indeed, natural history is an ancient discipline in which humanity interacts with nature, serving as a bridge between natural sciences and humanities, and as a way to understand the world. Through natural history, children can "gain extensive knowledge", explore all creatures and objects, and cultivate broad interests; "gain extensive understanding", transitioning from interests to persistent exploration, building their own knowledge systems; and "gain extensive affection", discovering the beauty of the world from all creatures and objects, and developing a spirit of love.

To better stimulate the curiosity, imagination, and inquisitiveness of primary and secondary school students, and to cultivate their interest in science, combining learning with thinking and integrating teaching with fun, Xueersi Online School has launched three major "Xueersi Natural History Department" educational products: "My Natural History Museum", "My History and Culture Museum", and "My Science and Technology Museum".

The "Xueersi Natural History Department" series of products features themed teaching toolboxes that collect interesting and engaging "museum collections" related to the theme in the boxes. Each month, there is an independent scientific theme, and expert teachers provide online explanations of popular science content along with the teaching toolboxes, leading children to explore everything.

Derived from instincts, based on interests, enhanced by accumulation, and refined through integration, it helps cultivate well-rounded individuals.
Wang Yuan, director of the China Ancient Zoological Museum, mentioned in this conference, "The ancient saying: 'look up to see the universe, look down to see the prevalence of the category, so swim in the eyes and gallop to the heart, enough to be extremely entertained by the sight and sound of the letter can be also happy.' You can first raise the children's interest and let them explore on their own initiative."

So, how does the "Xueersi Natural History Department" series stimulate children's interest? Product Manager Qu Sheng introduced that this series of products is designed with the principle of "focusing on practice and stimulating interest", forming three core highlights.

Highlight 1: Thematic learning, student-centered and tailored to their needs. At the initial design stage, Xueersi Online School fully considered the characteristics of children who are still exploring their interests, and designed a set of twelve boxes for a year, with each box having an independent theme, allowing children to try more things in a short time and eventually find their areas of interest and talents.

Highlight 2: Physical teaching toolboxes, promoting inquiry-based and practical scientific education to stimulate children's intrinsic motivation to learn.

Through inquiry-based and practical scientific education, stimulate children's curiosity, imagination, and inquisitiveness. Taking the theme "The Wonderful Insect Journey" as an example, children need to make butterfly specimens themselves and actively observe and compare a series of insect specimens, independently summarizing and defining the characteristics of insects.

Highlight 3: Professional and interesting content that integrates learning and thinking, education and fun. In the learning process, guide children to consciously acquire scientific knowledge, cultivate scientific spirit, and improve scientific literacy. The main speakers of the "Xueersi Natural History Department" series are experienced experts with rich field research experience. Relying on Xueersi's nearly 20 years of teaching and research accumulation, they guide students to widely participate in inquiry-based practice and help children open the door to wisdom.
